Wave Resin Acacia Wood Serving Board

This Serving Board from Velleora Home Decor sets a wave of tinted resin into acacia timber, so the join between wood grain and colour reads as a shoreline. Because the timber figure is different in every board, no two waves break the same way.

It is made to be brought to a table rather than kept in a cupboard - a cheese course, charcuterie, bread and oil, or canapes are all served better on something worth looking at than on a plain plate.

Two sizes are offered. Acacia is dense and naturally water-resistant, which is why it suits a board that will meet damp cheese and oil. Serve on the resin side and cut on the timber side rather than scoring the resin, which will not close behind a knife the way wood does. Hand wash and dry immediately - never a dishwasher or a soak - and oil the timber occasionally with food-safe mineral oil.
