Description
This Bin from Velleora Home Decor is small-format stainless steel with a foot pedal and a soft-close lid, sized for a bathroom or a cloakroom where a kitchen bin would be absurdly large.
Soft-close is what makes a metal lid usable in a bathroom. A sprung lid clangs, which is genuinely disruptive at night in a house with thin walls or a bathroom next to a bedroom; a damped hinge closes silently.
Stainless resists the damp that destroys painted or plastic bathroom bins, which rust at the base or go brittle within a couple of years. A removable inner bucket lifts out for rinsing, since anything spilled runs to the bottom where a fixed body cannot be cleaned. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and dry it to avoid water marks, and keep the pedal mechanism clear.

A Metal Lid That Never Clangs
A sprung lid is genuinely disruptive at night in a house with thin walls or a bathroom next to a bedroom. A damped hinge closes silently, which is what makes a metal bin usable there.
Damp Does Not Bother It
Painted and plastic bathroom bins rust at the base or go brittle within a couple of years. Stainless steel shrugs off the humidity that finishes them.
The Bucket Comes Out
Anything spilled runs to the bottom, where a fixed body can never be cleaned. Velléora Home Decor made the inner bucket removable so it can simply be rinsed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it quiet enough for a bathroom at night?
Yes. The lid is damped rather than sprung, so it settles closed without the clang that carries through a quiet house.
Will it rust in a steamy bathroom?
Stainless steel is chosen precisely because it handles the damp that destroys painted and plastic bins. Dry the exterior after cleaning and it stays unmarked.
What size is it?
Small format, sized for a bathroom or a cloakroom where a kitchen bin would be absurdly large and always in the way.
How do I clean inside it?
Lift the inner bucket out and rinse it. That is the one thing a fixed body bin cannot do, and it is where spills always end up.
How do I avoid water marks on the steel?
Wipe with a damp cloth and dry it afterwards. Keeping the pedal mechanism clear at the same time keeps the action smooth.
