Resin River Acacia Charcuterie Board
This Charcuterie Board from Velleora Home Decor runs a channel of tinted resin through acacia timber in the river-table style, so a line of colour flows between two edges of natural grain.
The effect depends entirely on the timber, which is why each board is genuinely one-off - the grain either side of the river is unrepeatable, and the resin picks up light differently depending on how it is set.
It is built for serving rather than heavy prep: cheese, cured meats, bread, fruit and canapes all look considerably better on a board with some character than on a plain platter. Acacia is dense and naturally water-resistant, which suits contact with soft cheese and oil. Cut on the timber rather than the resin, which will not close behind a blade. Hand wash and dry immediately - never a dishwasher or a long soak - and oil the wood occasionally with food-safe mineral oil.
