Portobello Wooden Mushroom Night Light

The Portobello Mushroom Lamp is turned from solid wood rather than moulded, so the cap and stem show grain and each piece differs slightly in tone. Wood is an unusual choice for a mushroom lamp and it changes the object entirely: it reads as a small carved sculpture rather than a novelty light.

The glow comes from beneath the cap, warm and low, which makes it a night light rather than a reading lamp. On a child's shelf, a bedside table or a windowsill it gives just enough light to navigate a dark room without waking anyone properly.
