Description
Description
This woven rope shade takes a rounded drum form rather than an open basket, so the weave is dense enough to diffuse the bulb while still letting fine points of light through the gaps. It is the more restrained of the woven shades: texture without a strong shadow pattern.
Density is the choice being made here. An open weave throws bold shadows and works as a feature; a tighter weave like this one gives soft texture and stays usable as a main room light rather than only as an accent.
Velleora Home Decor weaves each shade individually over a frame, so density varies slightly. It fits standard pendant fittings without rewiring. Keep natural fibre away from persistent damp, use a low-wattage bulb, and dust with a soft brush.

A Dense Rope Drum
The weave is tight and the form is a clean rounded drum, so it brings texture to the ceiling without the shape getting complicated.
Warm Light Through Natural Fibre
Light passing through natural rope picks up its colour on the way out, which is why the room reads warmer than the same bulb in a plain shade.
It Fits Your Existing Fitting
It goes straight onto a standard pendant fitting with no rewiring, so the room changes in minutes and no electrician is needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an electrician?
No. It fits standard pendant fittings, so there is no rewiring. Switch the light off at the wall before changing the shade.
Which bulb should I use?
A low wattage bulb, ideally an LED. Keeping the heat down inside the weave matters with any natural fibre shade.
Will mine look exactly like the photo?
Close, but each is woven over its frame individually so the density varies a little. That is the nature of a woven shade.
Where should I avoid using it?
Anywhere with persistent damp. Natural fibre and steam do not agree, so keep it out of bathrooms and away from a busy hob.
How do I clean it?
Dust it with a soft brush. Water soaks into rope and leaves marks, so never use a damp cloth or a spray on it.
