A rotating blade sits behind a mesh guard, so it removes the pilled fibres without catching the weave beneath - the failure mode of cheap shavers and the reason a guard matters. Collected fluff drops into a removable chamber that empties in a second rather than clogging the head.
Two versions are offered. It is compact enough for a drawer, a suitcase or a desk at work, and runs cordless so it can be used on a coat already hanging up.
