Description
Velleora Home Decor's Kids Sensory Cotton Hammock Swing wraps a child in soft fabric and lets them rock. The gentle, repetitive motion and the light pressure of the fabric around the body are calming for a lot of children, which is why swings like this turn up in sensory rooms, occupational therapy settings and plenty of ordinary living rooms.
The seat is woven from breathable cotton that stretches enough to form a cocoon around a child and returns to shape afterwards. Reinforced gathered ends carry the load into the suspension hardware, and the fitting kit spreads that load across a ceiling joist rather than a single point. It hangs indoors from a joist or outdoors from a sturdy branch or frame, and it packs down small when it is not up.
Adult supervision is essential at all times. Fix the hardware into a structural joist or beam - never into plasterboard alone - and have any ceiling fixing checked by someone competent. Hang the seat low so a fall is a short one, clear hard furniture from the swing area, keep within the stated weight limit, and inspect the fabric and fittings before every use. This is play equipment, not a medical device; talk to an occupational therapist about any specific sensory need.

Cotton That Gives
Breathable stretch cotton gives under weight and forms a cocoon around whoever is in it, then returns to shape when they climb out.
Fittings In The Box
The ceiling fitting hardware comes with it and is designed to spread the load across a joist rather than concentrating it at one point.
Four Colours, Two Sizes
It packs down small, so it can come down between uses rather than living permanently in the middle of a room.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the fabric like?
Breathable stretch cotton. It gives under weight to form a cocoon and returns to shape afterwards, with reinforced gathered ends.
Is the fitting hardware included?
Yes, ceiling fitting hardware is included, designed to spread the load across a structural joist.
Where can I hang it?
Indoors from a structural joist, or outdoors from a suitable branch or frame. Never into plasterboard alone, whatever anchor is used.
How high should it hang?
Low, so that getting in and out is a step rather than a drop, and so a fall is a short one.
What supervision does it need?
Constant adult supervision, every time. Check the fabric, the fittings and the stitching before each use, and respect the stated weight limit.
