Handwoven Rope Pendant Shade

This is a shade rather than a complete fixture, which makes it the cheapest way to change a room that already has a working pendant. It fits over an existing fitting, so nothing needs rewiring and no electrician is involved.

The rope is woven into an open basket form, so light passes through the gaps and prints a woven shadow onto the ceiling above as well as lighting the table below. That upward cast is most of the effect.

Velleora Home Decor weaves each shade individually, so density and pattern differ between pieces. It fits standard pendant fittings. Keep natural fibre away from persistent damp, use a low-wattage bulb to limit heat inside the weave, and dust it with a soft brush rather than a cloth.
