Stake it in front of a figure, a door or a fence panel and it washes the surface with coloured light from below.
The head tilts and rotates independently of the stake, so you can aim the beam precisely and then leave it. The solar panel is on its own short arm, which matters in October - it can sit in a sunny patch while the lamp itself points into shade.
