Braided from tough synthetic fibre around a load-bearing core, the line holds a tarp taut in wind, stays a manageable diameter in the hand, and does not turn into a stiff board once it gets wet and cold.

Each length runs through an aluminium tensioner, so pitching is a matter of pulling the line through and letting the plate bite - no fiddling with knots in the dark and no re-tightening at two in the morning when the fabric has stretched. A reflective tracer is woven along the outside of the braid, which catches a head torch beam and keeps people from walking into a line between the tent and the fire.

Use the set for tarps, tents, awnings, washing lines, bike covers and general lashing around camp. Coil the lines rather than stuffing them to keep the braid from kinking, dry them before packing, and replace any length showing a cut through the outer sheath.
