Bauhaus Donut LED Lamp

The Bauhaus Donut Lamp is a lit ring that stands on a table or mounts on a wall, which is unusual: most fixtures commit to one or the other. The ring emits evenly around its whole circumference, so it works as a halo against a wall or as a glowing circle on a surface.

Reducing a lamp to a single geometric primitive is Bauhaus logic taken to its conclusion. There is no shade, no visible bulb and no stem doing decorative work, only the ring and the minimal support holding it. The light is soft because the emitting surface is long rather than concentrated.

Velleora Home Decor built the ring with an integrated LED, so nothing needs replacing. Used on a wall it needs a switched supply and a qualified electrician; used on a table it plugs in like any lamp. Wipe the diffuser with a soft dry cloth to keep the ring evenly bright.
