Digital LED Wood Desk Alarm Clock

The Digital LED Wood Desk Clock hides its display behind a timber face, so when the numbers are off the object reads as a plain block of wood. Only the lit segments show through, which is a far quieter presence on a desk than a black plastic clock.

That concealment is the whole design idea. Most digital clocks announce themselves as electronics; this one is furniture until it needs to be a clock, which is why it works on a bedside table or a shelf in a room with no other technology on show.

Display brightness dims down to a level that will not light a bedroom at night. Velleora Home Decor kept the timber unstained so the grain shows. It runs on mains with battery backup, and the controls sit on the top surface where they can be found by feel.
