Description
Damp ground is what ends most picnics early. Velleora Home Decor's Waterproof Foldable Picnic Blanket answers that with a laminated backing that sits between you and the grass, so dew, drizzle and soft earth stay on the underside while the top stays dry and warm.
The face is a soft brushed weave that is comfortable to sit on in shorts, and the layers are quilted together so the blanket does not shift into rucks under a hamper. Fold it along its creases and it collapses into a flat rectangle with a carry handle, light enough to hang off a rucksack. Grass, crumbs and sand shake straight off, and a scuffed corner wipes clean with a damp cloth. Larger sizes take a family of four with room for a cool box.
It works for park lunches, beach days, festivals, sports touchlines, camping tent floors, and as a clean layer in the boot of the car for muddy boots or a wet dog. Air it out fully before folding it away - put it in a cupboard damp and it will smell of it next time you unroll it.
- Laminated waterproof backing
- Soft brushed top surface

Nothing Comes Through
The laminated backing stops damp grass coming through. On British ground that is the difference between a picnic and a damp afternoon.
Quilted, Not Just Backed
It is quilted through several layers rather than being a sheet with a plastic back, so there is padding between you and the ground.
Eight Patterns
Eight patterns across stripes and checks, and the larger size seats a family of four with room for the food.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will damp grass come through?
No. The backing is laminated and waterproof, so it sits on wet grass without letting anything through to the top.
Is there any padding?
Yes, it is quilted through several layers rather than being a thin sheet, so there is real cushioning between you and the ground.
What sizes are there?
Two: a hundred and fifty by two hundred centimetres, and two hundred by two hundred, which seats a family of four comfortably.
How do I clean it?
Shake it out or wipe it down. Air it fully before folding, because a blanket put away damp will smell by the next outing.
How does it carry?
It folds flat with a carry handle, so it goes over a shoulder or into a boot rather than needing a bag of its own.
