Description
Description
This Beach Blanket from Velleora Home Decor is woven so sand passes down through the fabric and does not come back up, which is the one thing that separates a beach blanket from a picnic rug.
Sand on a conventional blanket sits on the surface, gets into food and comes home in a bag. A sandproof weave lets it fall through when the blanket is shaken, so the top surface stays clear and the blanket packs away clean.
Two sizes are offered. It is thin and light enough to pack into a day bag, and it dries quickly rather than staying damp in a boot. Corner loops take pegs or weights so it does not lift in a sea breeze - the other recurring beach problem. Shake it out before folding, rinse off salt water occasionally, and hang it to dry rather than packing it away damp.

Sand Falls Through, Not Back Up
The weave lets sand drop straight through and keeps it there. That single detail is the whole difference between a beach blanket and a picnic rug.
Folds Down Into The Bag
Light and thin enough to fold into a beach bag alongside the towels, so it comes on the day trip instead of staying in the boot.
Just As Good In The Park
Spread it on grass for a picnic, on gravel at a festival or in the garden for the children. It earns its place well beyond the beach.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the sandproof weave work?
The fabric is woven so grains pass down through it under their own weight and cannot travel back up, which keeps the top surface clean.
How large is it when laid out?
Generous enough for a family to sit and spread their things out on, while still folding into something you can carry in one hand.
Will it blow about in a breeze?
Anchor the corners with the loops and a bag or a shoe on each side and it lies flat and calm even on a breezy stretch of coast.
How do I clean it?
Shake it out and it is very nearly clean already. Rinse it with fresh water after a salty day and let it dry before folding.
Is it comfortable to sit on?
It is smooth and soft to the touch rather than scratchy, and because it does not hold sand it stays pleasant right through the day.
