Description
Velleora Home Decor's Hanging Outdoor Hummingbird Feeder brings the smallest and fastest visitors in the garden close enough to watch properly. The reservoir holds nectar behind bright feeding ports, and a perch ring lets birds settle to feed rather than hovering - which is what gives you time to actually look at them.
The body is moulded from UV-stable material that will not yellow through a season of sun, and it comes apart completely for cleaning, which matters more than any other feature on a feeder. A built-in moat above the ports keeps ants out of the nectar, and the wide hanging hook fits a bracket, a branch or a shepherd's crook.
Fill it with four parts water to one part plain white sugar, boiled and cooled. Never use honey, brown sugar, artificial sweetener or red dye - all of these can harm hummingbirds. Change the nectar and wash the feeder every two to three days in warm weather, more often in a heat wave, and take it down and clean it thoroughly if you see any cloudiness or black spotting inside the reservoir.
- Clear reservoir with bright feeding ports
- Perch ring for settled feeding
- Built-in ant moat
- Fully dismantles for cleaning
- UV-stable, non-yellowing body
- Wide hanging hook

A Moat Above The Ports
The built in ant moat sits above the feeding ports and stops ants reaching the nectar, which is the usual reason a feeder gets abandoned.
It Comes Fully Apart
It dismantles completely for cleaning. A feeder you cannot take apart is a feeder that never gets properly clean.
Three Colours
A perch ring lets birds settle rather than hover, and the UV stable body does not yellow through a season of sun.

Frequently Asked Questions
What nectar should I use?
Four parts water to one part white sugar, boiled and then cooled completely before filling. Nothing else is needed.
How often should I change it?
Every two to three days in warm weather, and wash the feeder at the same time. Fermented nectar does real harm to birds.
Should I add red dye?
No. Skip the dye, and never use honey, brown sugar or artificial sweetener. Plain white sugar and water is what they need.
How do I stop ants getting in?
The built in moat above the ports does it. Keep it topped with water and ants cannot cross to reach the nectar.
How do I clean it?
Take it fully apart and wash every part in hot water. That is why it dismantles, and it matters more than any other piece of care.
