Description
This Mug Warmer from Velleora Home Decor is a heated coaster that holds a drink at temperature rather than reheating it. Coffee reheated in a microwave tastes noticeably worse - the aromatics have gone - so keeping it warm from the start is the better answer.
For anyone working at a desk, this solves the recurring small annoyance of remembering a cup an hour after making it. Temperature is adjustable, so tea can sit hotter than coffee, and an auto shut-off ends the session rather than leaving a hot plate running all night.
Four colourways are offered. The plate suits ceramic and glass mugs and works best with a flat-bottomed cup that makes full contact - insulated travel mugs will not transfer heat well. Wipe the plate with a barely damp cloth once cool. Do not submerge it, keep liquids off the base and cable, and do not leave it running unattended or use it with a damaged cable.

It Holds Your Set Temperature
You choose the temperature rather than accepting whatever a plain hot plate gives you, which is why the last third of the cup tastes like the first.
It Switches Itself Off
Automatic shut off means the one you forgot about at five o'clock is not still running at midnight, which is the reason to buy a good one rather than any one.
Four Colours To Pick
It sits on a desk all day, so it is offered in four colourways rather than the single black plastic that most of them come in.

Frequently Asked Questions
What mugs does it suit?
Flat bottomed ceramic and glass mugs, which conduct heat through the base. An insulated travel mug will not work, since insulation is the opposite of what is needed.
Will it reheat a cold cup?
It maintains a hot drink rather than reheating a cold one. Start with a hot cup and it holds it, which is what it is designed to do.
How do I clean it?
Unplug it, let it cool and wipe the plate with a barely damp cloth. Never submerge it and never let liquid run onto the base or the cable.
Does the plate get hot?
Yes, that is how it works. Treat it as a hot surface, keep it away from paper and cables, and out of reach of children and pets.
Can I use it for other drinks?
Tea, hot chocolate and soup in a mug all work. Anything thick will want a stir now and then, since only the base is being warmed.
