The Nordic Wooden Wall Lamp puts an adjustable head on a solid timber body, which is a harder engineering problem than it sounds: wood does not take a pivot as easily as metal, and the joint has to be built rather than simply bolted through.
The result is a bedside light that can be aimed at a book without any metal on show. It swings and tilts from a fixed mount, so one installation covers reading, ambient wash and everything between.
