Description
The Magpie Pendant Light hangs a slender bird form beneath the ceiling rose, with the light emitted downward from below the body. It reads as a mobile as much as a fixture, and it works best where it can be seen in the round rather than pushed against a wall.
The bird is rendered in simplified planes rather than realistic detail, which keeps it graphic and stops it drifting into ornament. Integrated LED gives an even downward beam and removes any bulb changing at height. Velleora Home Decor kept the finish matte so the form holds its outline against a bright ceiling.
Hung singly over a side table it becomes a focal point; hung in threes at staggered drops over a stairwell or a dining table it becomes something closer to an installation. The cable drop is adjustable at installation. Fitting should be carried out by a qualified electrician with the circuit isolated at the consumer unit.
- Simplified bird form in graphic planes
- Integrated LED with even downward beam
- Matte finish holds its outline against the ceiling
- Adjustable cable drop at installation
- Groups well in threes at staggered heights

A Bird In Plain Planes
The form is simplified down to a few flat surfaces, which is what keeps a novelty shape looking designed rather than cartoonish.
It Lights The Table Below
The integrated LED throws a proper beam downward, so this is a working pendant and not just a sculpture with a bulb inside it.
Three At Staggered Drops
Hung in threes at different heights they read as birds in flight, which is much stronger than a single one hung alone.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many should I hang?
One works over a small table, but a group of three at staggered heights makes far more of the shape.
Is the LED integrated?
Yes, and it is rated for many years of normal use, so there is no bulb to buy or replace.
Can the drop be adjusted?
Yes, the cable is shortened at installation, which is exactly how you set up a staggered group.
How do I clean it?
A dry soft cloth over the matte surfaces once the fitting is cool. Avoid polish, which would leave an unwanted shine.
Who should install it?
It is a hardwired ceiling fitting, so it should be installed by a qualified electrician with the circuit isolated at the consumer unit.
