Description
The Huangdong Wall Lamp pairs travertine with timber, two materials that both carry visible imperfection as part of their character. Travertine is pitted and porous by nature, and those small voids catch shadow across the stone face, so the fixture has texture before any light is switched on.
Wabi-sabi thinking runs through the design: nothing is polished to uniformity, and no two stone faces are identical. The light itself is low and warm, washing across the stone rather than projecting into the room, which is the point of a fitting like this in a bedroom or a quiet corridor.
Velleora Home Decor kept the metalwork out of sight entirely. Travertine is porous, so keep it away from persistent damp and clean it with a dry brush rather than a wet cloth. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician with the circuit isolated first.
- Natural travertine paired with timber
- Pitted stone surface catches shadow when unlit
- Low warm wash rather than projected light
- Every stone face differs
- Porous stone: keep dry, dust with a soft brush

Real Quarried Stone
This is genuine travertine rather than a printed effect, so the pitting and the banding run right through it and differ from piece to piece.
Metalwork Kept Hidden
The bracket sits entirely behind the stone and timber, so from the room the piece appears to grow out of the wall with no hardware visible.
A Low Warm Wash
The output grazes down the wall rather than throwing a beam into the room, which shows off the stone texture and suits evening light.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will mine look like the photo?
Similar in tone but not identical. Natural travertine varies in colour and marking from block to block, which is what makes it worth using.
How heavy is it?
Noticeably heavier than a metal fitting of the same size. Fix it into masonry or a stud with rated fixings, never into plasterboard on plugs alone.
How do I clean the stone?
A dry soft brush or cloth. Travertine is porous, so keep it away from oils and acidic cleaners, which can stain or etch the surface.
Is the LED replaceable?
It is integrated and rated for many years of normal use, so the stone body is never opened up once it is on the wall.
Who should install it?
A qualified electrician, with the circuit isolated at the consumer unit, given both the mains connection and the weight of the stone.
