Description
This Beach Toy from Velleora Home Decor combines a shovel with a sieve, so sand falls through and whatever was in it - shells, sea glass, small stones - stays behind in the scoop.
That turns aimless digging into a search with results, which is what holds a child's attention on a beach for an hour rather than five minutes. It also produces a collection to take home, sort and argue about.
Two versions are offered. The handle is sized for a child's grip and the sieve is fine enough to hold small shells without clogging with wet sand. Rinse it in fresh water after use, as salt and sand left on plastic in a hot car degrade it over a season. Supervise children near water at all times regardless of depth, and check with a parent before letting a child collect and pocket unfamiliar objects from a shoreline.

Sand Falls Through, Treasure Stays
Scoop and shake, and the sand drains away leaving shells, sea glass and little stones sitting in the tray, ready to be inspected.
Turns A Walk Into A Hunt
Aimless beach wandering becomes a proper treasure hunt, which is the difference between ten minutes of interest and a whole afternoon.
Light Enough To Always Pack
It weighs almost nothing and slips into a beach bag beside the towels, so it comes on every trip rather than being left behind.

Frequently Asked Questions
What age is it suitable for?
It is sized and weighted for children who can dig and shake on their own, which covers most toddlers upward with an adult nearby.
Does it work in wet sand too?
Yes, and wet sand near the tide line is where the best shells are. Give it a firmer shake and the sand still drops away cleanly.
Can it be used in the garden?
It works nicely in a sandpit or a gravel patch too, so it keeps earning its keep long after the holiday has finished.
Is it sturdy enough to dig with?
The scoop is moulded to take proper digging rather than flexing, so it stands up to enthusiastic use day after day.
How do I clean it?
Rinse it under fresh water to clear the salt and sand, shake it dry and it is ready for the next trip straight away.
