Description
The Bamboo Woven Desk Lamp puts a handwoven natural shade on a working desk light, which is a rare combination. Most desk lamps are metal or plastic because they need to be adjustable and durable; this one accepts a slightly softer form in exchange for texture.
Light escapes through the weave as well as from the open base, so the lamp lights a desk while printing a fine shadow pattern onto the surface and the wall behind. It gives a work surface some warmth without needing a second decorative object on it.
USB power means it runs from a laptop or a desk hub without another mains adapter. Velleora Home Decor left the bamboo undyed. Keep natural fibre out of persistent damp, and wipe the base with a dry cloth rather than anything wet.
- Handwoven undyed bamboo shade
- Fine shadow pattern on desk and wall
- USB powered from a laptop or hub
- Warmth and texture on a work surface
- Keep dry; wipe with a dry cloth

Patterns Through The Weave
Light escapes between the strands and throws woven shadows across the wall behind, so the lamp gives you a lit surface and a pattern at the same time.
Real Bamboo, Left Undyed
The natural colour varies slightly from strand to strand, which is what tells you it is real material rather than a printed finish.
One USB Cable
It runs from a laptop port, a hub or a plug adapter, so there is no transformer taking up a socket under the desk.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it come with a plug?
Check the listing for what is included. It takes a standard USB supply, so any phone charger or laptop port you already own will run it.
Is it bright enough to work by?
It is an ambient and light task lamp rather than a bright work light. On a desk beside a screen in the evening that is exactly what most people want.
Does the shade get hot?
No, it runs on low power LEDs and stays cool. Keep it uncovered anyway, as you would with any lamp with a natural fibre shade.
How do I clean the bamboo?
A soft brush or a hairdryer on cool lifts dust out of the weave. Keep it dry, since damp is what causes natural fibre to warp over time.
Will the weave loosen?
Not in normal indoor use. Keep it out of a steamy kitchen or bathroom, since repeated humidity is the one thing that works any woven shade loose.
