Wood & Leather Hanging Wall Lamp

The Nordic Wood and Leather Wall Lamp hangs its shade from a leather strap rather than mounting it rigidly, so the fitting has a small amount of natural movement and sits at whatever height the strap is set to. It is a detail borrowed from workshop lighting.

Leather is the unusual material here. It softens with handling, develops a patina and ages visibly, which very few lighting components do. Paired with a timber backplate the fixture becomes a piece of craft rather than hardware.
