Because the LED runs along the whole curve, light comes from a long thin source and shadows stay soft. On a desk that means less harsh contrast on a page; on a bedside table it means the lamp itself is comfortable to look at directly.

Dimming runs from full brightness down to a low evening level with a touch control on the base. Velleora Home Decor kept the base narrow so it takes minimal surface space. Wipe with a soft dry cloth, and handle by the base rather than the curve when moving it.
