Brass & Tinted Glass Ball Wall Lamp

The Modern Glass Ball Wall Lamp uses tinted rather than clear or opal glass, so the globe carries a colour of its own and the bulb inside is visible but muted. Smoke and amber tints both warm the light noticeably as it passes through.

Brass hardware holds the globe at the wall and warms the composition further. The two materials were chosen to age together: brass patinas with handling, and tinted glass looks better against a warm metal than a cool one.

Velleora Home Decor kept the backplate small so the globe dominates. It takes a small-format bulb, and a filament type suits tinted glass better than a plain modern bulb. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the glass cleaned dry to protect the tint.
