Medieval Pleated Table Lamp

The Medieval Pleated Table Lamp pairs a deeply pleated shade with a turned wooden base, borrowing from a much older lamp tradition than most of what is on the market. The pleats run the full height of the shade, so the light leaving it is broken into fine vertical bands.

Velleora Home Decor turned the base in solid timber and left the grain visible. Fabric shades hold heat, so keep the bulb wattage modest. Vacuum the pleats gently with a brush attachment rather than wiping them, and lift the lamp by its base rather than the shade.
