Magpie Nordic Pendant Light

The Magpie Pendant Light hangs a slender bird form beneath the ceiling rose, with the light emitted downward from below the body. It reads as a mobile as much as a fixture, and it works best where it can be seen in the round rather than pushed against a wall.

The bird is rendered in simplified planes rather than realistic detail, which keeps it graphic and stops it drifting into ornament. Integrated LED gives an even downward beam and removes any bulb changing at height. Velleora Home Decor kept the finish matte so the form holds its outline against a bright ceiling.

Hung singly over a side table it becomes a focal point; hung in threes at staggered drops over a stairwell or a dining table it becomes something closer to an installation. The cable drop is adjustable at installation. Fitting should be carried out by a qualified electrician with the circuit isolated at the consumer unit.
