EcoStack 3-Tier Wheat Straw Bento Box

EcoStack from Velleora Home Decor is moulded from wheat straw fibre, a by-product of grain harvesting, blended into a rigid material that behaves like plastic but uses considerably less new petrochemical.

Three tiers stack and lock together, which is the practical part: a main, a side and a dessert travel as one column and then separate into three dishes at the table. It holds 900ml in total, enough for a full adult lunch without being bulky in a bag.

Wheat straw also has a warmer, slightly matte finish than moulded plastic, and it does not stain from tomato or turmeric the way cheap containers do. It is microwave safe with the lids off and top-rack dishwasher safe. Hand wash the lids and seals, and note that wheat straw is a plant fibre composite - it is not suitable for oven, grill or freezer-to-heat use.
