Corduroy Striped Cushion Covers

The Corduroy Cushion Covers bring a ribbed, tactile surface to a sofa that flat cotton cannot match. Corduroy catches light along each wale, so the same colour reads darker in the grooves and lighter on the ridges, and a plain cushion gains depth without any pattern being printed on it.

They are covers only, which is deliberate: replacing covers rather than whole cushions is cheaper, easier to store and lets a room change seasonally without a cupboard full of inserts. A concealed zip runs along one edge so nothing interrupts the front face, and the seams are overlocked inside to stop fraying with repeated removal.

Velleora Home Decor kept the palette in warm autumnal tones that work against both linen and leather. Wash cool inside out to protect the pile and tumble dry low, brushing the wales back into direction while the fabric is still slightly damp. Avoid ironing the face directly, which crushes the ribbing permanently.
