Stainless Steel Manual Citrus Juicer Press

This Citrus Press from Velleora Home Decor is stainless steel with a hinged lever, turning a lemon or lime half inside out so the juice is forced through a strainer in one movement.

Steel is the right material for citrus. Aluminium reacts with acid over time and coated presses eventually chip at the hinge; stainless does neither, so the press does not discolour and there is nothing to flake into the juice.

Hand-squeezing gets about half of what is in the fruit - a press gets most of it, and the built-in strainer holds back pips and pulp so juice goes straight into a glass, a pan or a shaker with no separate sieve. It washes by hand or on a dishwasher. Rinse it promptly after use, as citrus acid left to dry marks most finishes over time.
