Retro Bauhaus Glass Table Lamp
The Bauhaus Glass Table Lamp sets a hemispherical glass shade on a cylindrical base, two primitives stacked with nothing between them. It is the reduction the Bauhaus school argued for: every element is a basic geometric form, and the design succeeds or fails on proportion alone.
The glass shade directs light downward while glowing softly at its own surface, so the lamp lights a table and reads as a lit object at the same time. That dual behaviour is what makes it usable as a bedside or console lamp rather than only a decorative one.
Velleora Home Decor kept the base weighted for stability and the join between the two forms clean. It takes a standard low-wattage bulb; glass holds heat, so keep the wattage modest. Lift by the base rather than the shade, and clean with a soft dry cloth only.
- Hemisphere on cylinder, pure geometric forms
- Directs light down while glowing at its surface
- Weighted base with a clean join
- Works as bedside, console or accent lamp
- Low-wattage bulb; lift by the base
