Ailse Wood & Glass Ceiling Lamp

The Ailse Ceiling Lamp sets a glass diffuser into a natural timber surround, a pairing that softens what is usually the most utilitarian fixture in a room. The wood picks up the tone of furniture and flooring, so the ceiling stops feeling like a separate surface with hardware attached to it.

Glass rather than acrylic gives the diffuser a slight weight and clarity that plastic cannot match, and it will not yellow with age the way some acrylics do over many years of heat cycling. Light spreads evenly beneath with no visible source.

Velleora Home Decor finished the timber to leave the grain visible rather than sealing it flat. Integrated LED removes bulb changes at height. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician with the circuit isolated, and the timber dusted dry rather than wiped with anything damp.
